PRE TOURS

TURKU & THE ARCHIPELAGO – FOOD AND FUN!

Turku is gaining reputation for its splendid restaurant scene. You will be enjoying a delicious dinner in one of the best restaurants in town – Kaskis – and also be meeting one of our official Food Ambassadors, preparing cocktails as well as trying out more foodie highlights during a tasting tour in the second oldest Market Hall in Finland.

You will also experience the city’s beautiful nature during a hiking tour in Kurjenrahka National Park with some barbeque picnic along the way.

The second part of the pre tour will take you out to one part of the Archipelago for some sauna and fun! Not to forget about a dip in the wintery Baltic sea!

The tour starts with tasting and dinner at Teerenpeli Distillery. Their visitor center is located inside Restaurant Taivaanranta in Lahti.

We will also visit Asikkala and stay at Iso-Naappila  farm where thay have traditional finnish holiday cottages. We have the opportunity to test Fat Bike Forest Ride and we will enjoy authentic countryside food, outdoor Jacuzzi and sauna.

The trip continues to Villa Takila, which is a high-class, modern, two-apartment holiday home, right on the shore of the clean, clear-watered Lake Päijänne. On the program we will have outdoor activities: skiing on the frozen lake Päijänne or kite-surfing and walking Design.

ÅLAND – FANTASTIC ISLAND WORLD

Åland is a Swedish speaking autonomous region in Finland located in the heart of Scandinavia between the cities of Stockholm and Helsinki in the Baltic Sea. With some 6700 islands, Aland boasts an exciting mix of Swedish, Finnish and Russian culture.  The main city is Mariehamn.

The ferries used between Helsinki and Åland are among the most luxurious in operation so the journey is actually more like a cruise than a means of transportation from A to B.

The climat is comparatively mild in winter, but sometimes the sea freezes and you can ice-skate all around Mariehamn.

On this trip we will try curling and yoga and you will learn how to make Åland style bread. Of course there will be sauna and swimming included in to the program as well. We will have sauna at Mariebad, which is built over the sea bay Slemmern.
